What’s buzzing this week? Let Steve Kemble, US Weekly Fashion Police Top Cop, entertainment reporter for the CBS Radio Show – Afternoons with Leigh Ann & Courtney Kerr on KVIL 103.7 www.kvil.com and America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru, fill you in on the news everyone’s going to be talking about:
Khloe Kardashian sent her Hollywood powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser to the LA courthouse yesterday to have her divorce case against Lamar Odom dismissed. The case which Khloe filed in 2013 and both her and Lamar had signed was sitting in a huge pile of cases waiting to be signed off by a judge, so it was not officially finalized. Khloe stated yesterday that Lamar has promised her he is swearing off drugs since hitting rock bottom while found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada, and ending up on life support in a Las Vegas hospital. My sources are telling me Khloe has the full support of the entire Kardashian/Jenner family. Additionally, Khloe issued a statement in which she said, “This past week has been incredibly difficult. I am thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but well wishes to Lamar. I also want to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work.”
Warning- do not mess with a Skinny Girl! Skinnygirl brand creator Bethenny Frankel and her company SG Marks are suing Travis and Stacy Labarge saying that their SkinnyGirl Tea is a piggyback off the hard word and success of her brand. The Labarge’s said they came up with the name by simply going to Google keywords and putting in weight loss tea, and that they have never heard of Frankel or her product. Hmmmmmm, what’s in that tea!? Frankel and the brand have been a powerhouse since 2009!
Oscar Winner, Fashion It Girl, People’s magazine Most Beautiful and pretty much every other imaginable award winner Lupita Nyong’o is headed to Broadway! Nyong’o will make her debut next year in ‘Eclipsed’ a play set in a civil-war torn Liberia in the early 21st century! The play will begin with previews at the Golden Theatre February 23 and open March 6.
Another Hollywood powerhouse family is also making Broadway home base. Bruce Willis is set to open in an adaptation of the Stephen King novel Miseryon November 15. Also on the Great White Way, his daughter and Dancing With the Stars champ Rumer is currently starring in Broadway’s longest running revival Chicago as the killer fox Roxie Hart!
Tracy Morgan has announced he is embarking on a nation-wide comedy stand-up tour. The news follows appearances by Morgan as host of Saturday Night Live and at a ceremony honoring Eddie Murphy at the Kennedy Center. The tour begins February 5th at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond Indiana.
