What’s buzzing this week? Let Steve Kemble, US Weekly Fashion Police Top Cop, entertainment reporter for the CBS Radio Show – Afternoons with Leigh Ann & Courtney Kerr on KVIL 103.7 www.kvil.com and America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru, fill you in on the news everyone’s going to be talking about:
‘Hello’, I’ve got some fabulous news! Adele is set to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live during the November 21 show! Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey is set to host, and with that I say, ‘Alright, Alright, Alright’!
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are the latest Hollywood couple to call it quits after two years of marriage. In a statement issued by Berry’s publicist Meredith O’Sullivan, the couple stated, “it is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly our children’s privacy as we go through this difficult period.” They have a son Marco, 2, and Berry has a daughter, Nahla, 7, from a previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
SO EXCITED! Universal Pictures has announced that Elizabeth Banks will return to direct the third ‘Pitch Perfect’ movie! Banks made her directorial debut with this summer’s smash hit ‘Pitch Perfect 2’. Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow have all signed on for the next movie set to release in August of 2017.
If you live in Beverly Hills, lock up your wine glasses!!! After announcing this summer that she was leaving ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ to work on her podcast, Brandi Glanville has been spotted filming scenes for the sixth installment of the Bravo hit! She will appear occasionally, but other cast members claim she still should not be considered a regular (ladies, let’s not be bitter!). My inside sources are telling me the show needed some drama and who better to hurl a wine glass across a swanky restaurant than the divine Ms. Glanville!
I predict the 88th Annual Academy Awards (February 28, 2016) will be one of the best, if not the funniest ever! When asked if anything will be off limits for the host, Producers Reginald Hudlin and David Hill replied, “Good heavens, no! It’s Chris Rock for God’s sake!”. Rock drew both praise and criticism as the host of the 77th Oscars in 2005 (remember when he questioned Jude Law’s ‘star’ credentials, then Sean Penn took it upon himself to defend Law…I agree with most- Penn did not get the joke!). The producers went on to say, “we are talking about someone who prepares to the nth degree. The combination of comedy plus intelligence represents the best of both worlds!”. The producers previously hinted that a co-host will be announced, yet this week they stated, “It will just be Chris, Chris and Rock!”
