FOX News Sportscaster and Dancing With the Stars Co-Host Erin Andrews is suing hotel giant Marriott International for $75 million. The high profile sportscaster is suing them for not protecting her safety and emotional distress while she was traveling as a ESPN Sportscaster. She claims the hotel allowed a stalker to request to stay in the adjoining hotel room where he removed the peep hole in her room to film her in 3 different cities #creepy. The case is expected to last two weeks before a jury makes a decision.
Celine Dion received a standing ovation and roaring applause after returning to the stage at The Colosseum for this first time since the death of her husband René Angélil. Dion opened her show with a montage of family photos and René’s TV appearances. She told the audience, “I understood my career was in a way his masterpiece, his song, his symphony. The idea of leaving it unfinished would have hurt him terribly. I realized that if he left us, I would have to continue without him.”
Kayne West went on another Twitter rant which included a subtle reference to Taylor Swift! Loyola University in Chicago has announced that Kesha is no longer able to perform this Friday due to personal reasons related to her legal battle with music producer Dr. Luke. Kesha alleges that Dr. Luke raped her, to which he has denied all claims. The university stated that they support her decision to cancel the concert and wish her the best.
Last night the Brit Awards were held in London! Annie Lennox and actor Gary Oldman took part in a tribute to David Bowie, who died January 10th after his battle with cancer. Lorde performed a musical tribute, which Bowie’s son thought was beautiful and amazing. I am sure Lorde was extremely nervous after Lady Gaga’s tribute at the Grammys, which everyone loved and applauded, while his son sent a series of tweets expressing bewilderment.
The Academy Awards has revealed the stage designs for this Sunday’s Oscars, which will be hosted by Chris Rock. The designs are reflective of the 1970’s Hollywood glam and feature 200,000 Swarovski crystals, in addition to a massive 20,000 pound crystal focal point!
