What’s buzzing this week? Let Steve Kemble, US Weekly Fashion Police Top Cop and America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru, fill you in on the news everyone’s going to be talking about:
Madonna has successfully completed a two-year adoption process! A court in Malawi has approved documents making four and half-year-old twins Stella and Esther whose mother died at childbirth and have lived in an orphanage all their lives, officially her children! Following approval from the judge, the two girls will be headed to New York (their first trip ever out of the country of Malawi). The twins will join Madonna’s other children Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, Rocco Ritchie, Mercy James and David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie.
The Grammy Awards will be announced LIVE on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy announced that there would be two tributes this year, to Prince and George Michael. Some of the artist slated to perform include Beyoncé, Adele, Katy Perry, Kelsea Ballerini, Lukas Graham, Bruno Mars, the Weeknd, Daft Punk, Alicia Keys and fresh off her flawless Super Bowl halftime performance Lady Gaga. She will sing a duet with Metallica! Additionally, Demi Lovato, Andra Day, Tori Kelly, and the country group Little Big Town will collaborate for a tribute honoring the music of the Bee Gee’s in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of “Saturday Night Fever”!
In more Gaga news, she did not go to Disney World after the Super Bowl, so where is she heading you ask? She will be appearing on the Season 9 Premiere of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”. The premiere is slated for March, and this definitely sounds like ‘Must-See’ TV!!
David Beckham has a ‘knight-mare’ on his hands related to some leaked personal emails. Dear David, we love you, but all of us in America are really tired of email scandals! lol! Beckham is saying his emails were “hacked” and words were inserted in the body of the emails. The profanity-laced emails express frustration over the fact that he has yet to be “Knighted” by the Queen of England for all the work he has done as a UNICEF ambassador. In the shocking emails, he also takes aim at singer Katherine Jenkins expressing disbelief that she was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) from the Queen for “singing at rugby and going to see the troops”. Fellow Brit Sharon Osbourne could not hold back saying Beckham needs to “Get A Life”!
